Asus to introduce 540 Hz OLED monitor!

Ana sayfa / News

Asus is working on a new gaming monitor that uses a fourth-generation Tandem RGB OLED panel developed by LG Display. The 27-inch monitor will have a 1440p resolution and a 540Hz refresh rate.

With a full-panel brightness of 400 nits, the device offers 60% more brightness than third-generation WOLED panels. This brightness level can reach up to 4,000 nits locally. The model also uses a special coating type that Asus calls TrueBlack Glossy.

This coating eliminates the haze effect commonly seen on QD-OLED and WOLED panels, improving image clarity and color vibrancy. The same coating was previously featured on the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG and ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR models that were showcased at Computex 2025.

The new monitor is aimed at e-sports-focused users in particular. The device, which offers higher motion clarity than TN LCD panels, is planned to be positioned as an alternative to older high-speed panels. The connection options include DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1. G-SYNC, FreeSync Premium Pro and DisplayHDR True Black 500 support will also be offered.

The name and price of the monitor have not yet been announced. Asus is expected to introduce this model at one of the Gamescom 2025 or CES 2026 events. So what do you think about this product? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
